This leader in the restoration and reconstruction space has nearly 400 offices serving residential, institutional, and commercial customers and clients across the United States and Canada. THE MUST HAVES: The Operations Manager is a key leader for the branch and the bridge between operations, team members, clients, and more. As such, this person must be a true organizational leader with experience in project management, systems, sales, operations, P&L's, team management, hiring, training, people development, etc. Because of the nature of this industry and needs of this branch, this person will also have experience in reconstruction, mitigation, restoration, emergency response management, or adjacent/similar construction industry experience.
THE WHY: a subsection of the construction industry that’s all about helping people during incredibly hard times/disasters - floods, fires, mold, emergencies, and accidents.
THE WHERE: the office is based in Omaha, Nebraska. You’ll be working in the office or out in the field (aka - no remote options). Only candidates within 30 miles of the listed territory (or willing to relocate) will be considered.

Our client is seeking an Operations Manager to support this market by recruiting, coaching, and leading the team through high performance, excellence, professional development, and growth.

The Day to Day
Develop, manage, and execute strategic and business plans and work conjunctionally across other department leads towards growth, profitability, and overall company health.
Manage department P&L, budgets, cash flow, customer A/R, and general daily operation finances (in coordination with financial leadership).
Support sales and marketing campaigns, customer service initiatives, and customer-facing operations (in coordination with sales leadership).
Manage the flow of customer projects, job reports, active projects, customer communications, contracts, backlogs, and more in support of positive customer experiences, work completion timelines, and operational excellence.
Lead team members and support a positive, growing, and strong team environment.
Recruit, hire, and train new high-performing and strong culture-fit team members.
Lead and manage team meetings, company campaigns, and initiatives, and bridge the gaps between leadership and team members
Liaison and management/support with insurance carrier programs, team management, and vendors to ensure compliance, coordination, and execution.
Required Education and Experience
5+ years’ experience in a Management role, and/or in a Project Management and/or Estimator role
Experience in restoration or construction field
Preferred Education and Experience
Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, Construction Engineering, Business Management or related field
Ability to read and write construction estimates, specifically mitigation and reconstruction estimates
Sales experience
General Contractor’s license
IICRC certifications
Experience with Restoration Management Software (RMS) and/or Xactimate
A career track record of: Project Management, Business Development, Customer Service, Leadership, Problem Solving, Coaching, Financial Statements
Travel
This position will require up to 25% local travel to jobs sites (in the market), trainings, and company events (as needed).
Physical Requirement
All physical or mental requirements included in a position description must be needed to complete an essential function of the job. Essential functions are the functions routinely performed in the job and the removal of these functions would fundamentally change the position.
Must be able to ascend and descend ladders, scaffolds, stairs and work in confined spaces and in proximity to loud equipment.
Must be able to lift and carry or otherwise move 50 pounds occasionally.
Must be able to safely climb ladders.
Remain in a stationary position for 4-6 hours at a time.
Ability to safely operate a company vehicle.
Work in a variety of customer job sites, including indoor and outdoor settings.
Operate a computer and observe and perceive information and documents.
Must be able to communicate and converse with customers over the phone and face-to-face.
SALARY & BENEFITS
The approximate annual compensation range for this role, depending on individual candidate level and experience, is $90,000 - $110,000 base, plus 20-30% bonus opportunities.
