QUICK OVERVIEW - TL;DR (please read this section to ensure your fit before applying)
Our client is hiring a Sales Development Manager - a true sales hunter, relationship builder, and growth agent. Be a part of an opportunity to grow a department/sector, help a ton of people, and be in a high potential / high reward environment.
Our client is a leader in the restoration and reconstruction space with nearly 400 markets across the United States and Canada, serving residential, institutional, and commercial customers and clients. For over 50 years, they have served their communities in their time of need when facing disaster.
THE MUST HAVES: Outside sales and B2B experience...including experience selling to hotels, restaurants, hospitals, property management companies, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, large corporate facilties, and any other entity that has a lot of building structures. We are in search of top sales pros with experience selling anything from restoration, linens, water jugs, technology, elevators, pest control, cleaning supplies, or anything else to these target markets.
THE WHY: a subsection of the construction industry that’s all about helping people during incredibly hard times/disasters - floods, fires, mold, emergencies, and accidents.
THE WHERE: the office is based in the Central Alberta area. You’ll be working in the office or out in the field (aka - no remote options). Only candidates within 50 miles of the listed territory (or willing to relocate) will be considered. So whether you already live in a town like Red Deer, or you're in Calgary or Edmonton and looking to relocate to an incredible part of the country (with a fantastic cost of living, thriving community growth, and more genuine pace of life).
THE WHO: one of the leading companies in the space - great people-first culture, support of a large corporate team, yet smaller office branches allow for family and strong team environments. The Sales Development Manager will be leading the charge in all sales initiatives and campaigns - and will be instrumental in steering the company's future, making this a true “seize the opportunity” role during a high-growth phase.
THE HOW: Be a part of a growing company and take charge of your career opportunity in a sales environment that is supportive, fertile, and team-driven.
Comp range is $75,000-85,000k base plus commission, bonus, benefits, car allowance, and more. Total expected first year OTE compensation with commissions is $90,000-110,000+ (with no commission caps).

WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR
Here’s what else we think you should have as an ideal candidate!
YOUR BACKGROUND / RESUME
5+ years of experience in the Restoration, Construction, or Insurance industry OR service=based company experience in B2B sales...this includes those selling to commercial clients, like selling sprinkler systems, technology, pest control, cleaning services or supplies, elevators, linens, insurance services, or even water jugs.
Outside sales experience...while there will be some inside sales (email, phone, inbound leads), the majority will be out in the market, developing new relationships, meeting new clients, and building upon current client and network relationships.
Building, creating, and writing proposals or prevention plans.
Experience utilizing CRM software to manage and develop customer relationships.
Creative networking - everything from charity golf events to networking groups to hosting company workshops/events to local conferences. The more you put yourself out there as the market expert in the space, the more relationships and connections you’ll make.
Outside sales activities - you will be primarily out in the field, with minimal office presence required, and rely on efforts face-to-face and in-person.
YOUR DNA
You are self-motivated, a goal setter with a growth mindset, have a results-driven attitude, and have a relentless enthusiasm for expanding reach into new opportunities, markets, and networks.
You don’t just know the sales game - it’s part of your DNA. Whether you’ve watched "The Pursuit of Happyness," "The Wolf of Wall Street," or any other movie about the sales hustle - you’ve related and got goosebumps when they close the deal.
Speaking of closing deals - this is your superpower. You can sell ice cubes in a snowstorm, sawdust to a lumber mill, and most especially a high-level service agreement to large corporate partners. And you do so with quality, service, trust, and establishing deep partnerships.
You know that sales is a game and it can be a hustle - but you know that it’s best won through relationships and a strategic approach. As such, your successes have come from strong market planning, creative initiatives, purposeful campaigns, persistent networking, and most importantly, building strong relationships with everyone along the way.
You aren’t looking for an easy, boring, or a behind the computer sales opportunity…instead, you're ready to pound the pavement with hard work, patience, confidence, and a strong work ethic to find true long-term gains and success.
You are competitive, you love to win, hate complacency, and will do what it takes to succeed, putting in the extra hours, finding victory after failures, and navigating the ship with poise, resilience, and grit.
You find, depend on, and showcase the value of actively listening, thinking critically, and negotiating effectively as you navigate relationships, deals, and opportunities.
You know that sales is challenging. It will get messy. It can be stressful. It’s competitive. It is based on making wins and overcoming losses. And it’s not a zero-sum game. It’s about helping others and finding common ground and solutions. You’re not just confident - you are ready, willing, and anxious for a role like this…not to prove anything to anyone…but because sales can be so rewarding and it’s the perfect environment for YOU, your personality, and your career goals.
