QUICK OVERVIEW - TL;DR (please read this section to ensure your fit before applying)
Our client is hiring a Mitigation Project Manager - this is a specialized, field-based leadership role focused exclusively on emergency property damage response and the critical first phase of restoration.
THE WHO:
Our client is a national leader in the property restoration industry with decades of experience helping families and businesses recover from disasters.
They're the first responders when chaos strikes, bringing order and expertise to water, fire, and mold damage emergencies across hundreds of markets.
THE WHAT:
You will be THE leader for emergency mitigation projects across the Lehigh Valley, PA region.
We're looking for a true expert, battle-tested project manager, and decisive field leader who thrives in high-pressure situations and finds deep satisfaction in stabilizing properties and bringing calm to chaotic disasters.
MUST HAVES:
We need someone with 3-8 years of direct mitigation project management experience, active IICRC WRT certification, proven Xactimate proficiency, and a track record of leading crews through complex water, fire, and mold emergencies.
This is NOT a reconstruction role, NOT an entry-level technician position, and NOT a senior executive strategy role - this is hands-on mitigation project leadership.
THE WHY:
The restoration industry isn't just about construction - it's about being there for people during their worst days.
When a family's home floods at 2 AM or a business suffers fire damage, you're the expert who shows up, takes control, and begins the journey back to normal.
THE WHERE:
Lehigh Valley, Pennsylvania (Allentown, Bethlehem, Easton, and surrounding areas). This is a field-based role with daily on-site presence required.
THE HOW: There are three key strategic initiatives that this person will be initially tasked with:
Rapid Response Excellence: Establish and maintain industry-leading emergency response times while ensuring every mitigation project meets or exceeds IICRC standards from day one.
Crew Development & Training: Build and lead a high-performing mitigation team through hands-on mentoring, safety training, and technical skill development to ensure consistent quality across all projects.
Client Communication Mastery: Develop and implement communication protocols that transform the stressful mitigation experience into one where clients feel informed, supported, and confident throughout the process.

Comp range is $77,220 - $120,000 plus performance-based incentives.
Company vehicle, gas card, technology package, and comprehensive benefits included.

THE COMPANY & TEAM
Our client is one of the top restoration companies in the US, operating in hundreds of different markets nationwide. For over 50 years, they've served their communities in their time of need when facing disaster.
Even better - it is in an industry that truly serves its community. The restoration industry comes alongside home and business owners during unexpected hard days - floods, fires, mold, and more. Imagine a restaurant kitchen fire that closes the business and 50 employees are now temporarily out of work. Or a broken pipe that floods a home and displaces a family during the holidays.
These are just a few examples of how our client steps in and serves their communities with steadfast service through innovative solutions and approach, and all-inclusive support to get people back in business and back in their homes.
The team understands that the first 72 hours after a disaster are absolutely critical - not just for the property, but for the people affected. They've built their reputation on being the experts who show up fast, assess quickly, and execute flawlessly to stop further damage and begin the recovery process.
WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR
As the Mitigation Project Manager, you will be the operational leader for all emergency response projects in the Lehigh Valley market. This role demands someone who can seamlessly blend technical expertise, crew leadership, client communication, and business acumen to deliver exceptional results in high-stress environments.
A CAREER-DEFINING OPPORTUNITY FOR A PROVEN, DECISIVE, & EXPERT LEADER
Our client stands as a beacon of hope in the restoration and reconstruction industry. For over five decades, they've been the first call for property owners facing their worst days. More than just a construction company, they are community servants who combine technical expertise with genuine compassion.
YOUR DNA
You are a master of controlled chaos - the type of leader who walks into a flooded commercial building or fire-damaged home and immediately sees the path forward while others see only disaster.
You don't just manage projects; you command emergency situations. When the call comes in at 2 AM about a burst pipe flooding a family's home, you're the expert who arrives on scene, quickly assesses the damage, develops the mitigation plan, and begins executing with precision and urgency.
You are people-first in the highest-pressure situations. You understand that behind every water loss or fire damage claim is a person or family going through one of the worst days of their life. You bring technical expertise AND emotional intelligence, communicating with empathy while maintaining the confidence and authority needed to guide them through the process.
You're a field general, not a desk manager. You thrive being on-site, directing crews, making real-time decisions, and getting your hands dirty when needed. You know that great mitigation happens in the field, not in a conference room.
You are obsessed with the technical details that make the difference between success and failure. You live and breathe psychrometric principles, understand moisture migration, and can read building materials like a book. Your IICRC certifications aren't just credentials - they're the foundation of your expertise.
You bring a "buck stops here" mentality. When insurance adjusters call with questions, when clients need updates, when crews need direction - you're the definitive source of answers. You own the outcome from emergency call to project completion.
You've read, love, and live by industry principles from sources like the IICRC standards, understand the science behind structural drying, and come to the table with proven methodologies that you've tested and succeeded with in real-world emergency situations.
