QUICK OVERVIEW - TL;DR (please read this section to ensure your fit before applying)
Our client is hiring a Sales Manager who is equal parts hunter and coach - a true sales leader who can close big commercial deals while building and leading a high-performance sales team. This is not your typical "armchair quarterback" sales management role. We need a field general who thrives in the trenches and has the entrepreneurial grit to build sales systems from the ground up.
THE MUST HAVES:
5+ years of B2B sales management experience with a proven track record of building and leading sales teams
Direct sales experience selling to commercial property managers, facility managers, developers, and corporate decision-makers
A track record of personally hitting sales targets while developing others to do the same
Experience building sales processes, KPIs, and accountability systems from scratch
The entrepreneurial mindset to thrive in ambiguity and figure things out as you go
THE WHY:
You'll be joining an industry that serves communities during their most challenging times - helping businesses and property owners get back on their feet after disasters like fires, floods, and storms. It's meaningful work that combines the stability of a recession-proof industry with the growth opportunity of an ambitious franchise.
THE WHERE:
New York City (all boroughs) and New Jersey (Bergen, Essex, and Hudson Counties). Only candidates within a 45-minute commute or willing to relocate will be considered.
THE WHO:
One of the leading Paul Davis franchises with nearly 400 offices across the US and Canada. This specific territory (all NYC and 3 counties of NJ) represents one of the largest GDP opportunities in their network, led by a driven CEO who aims to be one of the biggest revenue-generating franchises in the country.
THE HOW:
There are three key strategic initiatives that this person will be initially tasked with:
Implement Data-Driven Sales Processes and Accountability: Establish clear KPIs, CRM adoption, and create a culture of metrics-driven performance across the sales team.
Grow Market Share in Highly Competitive Region: Develop strategies to differentiate our offerings and win more business against numerous established competitors in the NY/NJ market.
Expand into New Commercial/Multi-Family Verticals: Research, target, and penetrate new industry verticals beyond core residential work, leveraging relationships with property managers and commercial stakeholders.
THE NUTS & BOLTS:
Total expected comp range is $175,000 - $300,000+ (uncapped potential based on performance) plus great benefits, car allowance, and more. Base salary is $100,000-150,000, with commissions and performance bonuses accounting for the remainder.

YOUR DNA
You are a sales leader - but not the kind who sits in an office all day reviewing reports. You're a field general who leads from the front, closing deals while coaching your team to greatness.
You don't just know sales - it's part of your DNA. You can sell complex services to sophisticated commercial buyers, but you're just as passionate about teaching others how to do the same. You understand that true sales leadership isn't about being the hero on every deal; it's about building systems that create heroes across your entire team.
You are self-motivated with a growth mindset and results-driven attitude. You have a relentless enthusiasm for expanding into new opportunities, markets, and networks. You're competitive, you love to win, and you hate complacency.
You thrive in startup-like environments where you can build the playbook rather than just follow it. When faced with challenges, your first instinct isn't to ask for more resources - it's to roll up your sleeves and figure out how to win with what you have.
You know that relationships are everything in B2B sales, especially when selling to property managers, facility directors, and commercial decision-makers. You understand long sales cycles and the patience required to build trust with key stakeholders.
You're data-driven and metrics-obsessed. You don't just want to hit your numbers - you want to understand exactly why you hit them so you can teach your team to replicate that success systematically.
