THE WHAT: 

  • As Construction Project Manager, you'll lead reconstruction projects from start to finish - managing budgets, coordinating teams, recruiting talent, and most importantly, being a trusted partner to clients during vulnerable times. 

  • This is far more than traditional construction management - it's about restoring both properties and peace of mind while building and developing the next generation of restoration professionals.


MUST HAVES:

  • 5+ years in Management or Leadership role specifically within Restoration/Construction industry

  • Strong leadership abilities and people skills with proven team development experience

  • Experience managing subcontractors, vendors, and collections

  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational capabilities

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment

  • Willingness to take weekly on-call rotation

  • Valid driver's license and ability to recruit and train team members

THE WHERE: 

  • This role is based in Lexington, Kentucky and requires regular site visits throughout Central Kentucky. 

  • Only candidates within the Lexington metro area or willing to relocate will be considered.


THE HOW: 

There are three key strategic initiatives this person will be initially tasked with:

  1. Team Development & Growth: Recruit, hire, train, and mentor team members while conducting comprehensive performance reviews and building a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.

  2. Operational Excellence: Implement standardized project management processes, manage collections and account receivables, and ensure consistent quality and timely completion across all restoration projects.

  3. Strategic Partnership Building: Build and maintain strong relationships with subcontractors, vendors, and insurance partners while providing weekly on-call management support and emergency services coordination.


THE NUTS & BOLTS: 

  • Base salary of $50,000-$70,000 plus monthly uncapped bonus structure (expected total compensation $80,000-$100,000).

WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR


As a Construction Project Manager, you'll orchestrate restoration projects while building and leading teams that deliver excellence:


THE DAY TO DAY


Project Leadership

  • Lead and manage reconstruction projects from start to finish

  • Create detailed work orders and project timelines 

  • Monitor job sites for safety, quality, and training opportunities

  • Provide weekly updates on all active projects

  • Review and align estimates with project budgets


Team Development & Management

  • Recruit, interview, and onboard new team members

  • Conduct annual, mid-year, and 90-day performance reviews

  • Train and coach team members on reconstruction best practices

  • Coordinate and schedule subcontractors and vendors

  • Manage on-site foremen and crews


Business Operations

  • Manage collections and account receivables

  • Order and track materials, approve purchase orders

  • Take weekly manager on-call rotation

  • Assist with emergency services resource management

  • Build and maintain strong vendor relationships


Client Relations

  • Serve as primary point of contact for customers and insurance carriers

  • Communicate and negotiate with insurance carriers and property owners

  • Navigate conflict resolution with carriers, property owners, vendors and tradespeople

  • Provide regular project updates and timeline communications

  • Ensure exceptional customer experience throughout the restoration process


REQUIRED EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS

  • High school diploma or GED required

  • 5+ years in Management or Leadership role specifically within Restoration/Construction industry

  • Experience in construction management/supervision

  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record

  • Strong communication and leadership abilities

  • Experience managing subcontractors, vendors, and collections

  • Proven track record of successful project completion and team development


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Class A or B General Contractor's License

  • Associate or Bachelor's degree

  • Experience with insurance restoration projects

  • IICRC certifications


PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl

  • Frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds

  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel locally

  • Ability to work in various weather conditions


SALARY & BENEFITS

Base salary of $50,000-$70,000 plus monthly uncapped bonus structure (expected total compensation $80,000-$100,000).
